Why People Want to Become Entrepreneurs
It’s actually pretty simple and much more personal than most people believe.

All my life I have been surrounded by entrepreneurs. My father is the first example that I can think of. He was a fashion designer born out of a family of optometrists and when he decided to pursue his passion the family was less than thrilled. But he knew he was meant to do it so he took a leap of faith and pursued fashion design anyway. And boy did he shock the family. He started his journey at just 19 years old, and by the time he was 25 he had already built an entire manufacturing plant and was doing fashion shows around the country. This all happened in my home country of Colombia by the way.
I’m telling you this because people whom have not been exposed to the mindset of en entrepreneur, or know a person who owns their own business, or pursues their passion full time, may not understand why they do it.
Most of the time people believe it’s about the money, but that’s not true. Money is the result of their obsession with their passion. And yes, as an entrepreneur a high level of obsession and dedication is required to be able to succeed, and be considered one of the best at what you chose to do.
