What I Learned While I ‘Tried’ to Pursue Being an Entrepreneur

After I got fired from my job earlier this year — February of 2021 — I took a break from jobs altogether. I went on a journey of trying to figure out the fastest ways to make money, besides getting another job, because my previous experience had been so bad. I ended up not actively looking for one from February up until June. In those months, I did a lot of soul searching, read a book that finally encouraged me to start writing on this platform, and begun investing for the first time. Good things came out of this season but there were also some tough lessons I needed to learn along the way.

Now I have two jobs. One I just accepted a few days ago, for full time work. And the second one I found in June/July. It’s part-time, so I want to take advantage of it’s flexibility and have it as a third source of income. Why not?

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that a job is just a means. It’s a way to make money that will help me reach my goals and take care of my living expenses, but it doesn’t need to give me satisfaction. What I mean is, my professional career doesn’t have to be what determines if I…
