Want To Stop Feeling Constantly Frustrated and Unfulfilled? Practice Gratitude!

I had no idea this was a thing back in my early 20’s, and I now wish someone or some signal from the heavens had intervened at the time to let me know what a difference this could make.

After graduating college, I was surprisingly not drowning in job opportunities (who would have thought! — note the sarcasm) and settled for a position that only offered commissions — it was a sales job that I wasn’t prepared for whatsoever. At that time, I had jumped into this opportunity head in because I had no others, plus it offered an incredible income potential (like many other positions do, but at the time, I had no idea how to find this information, and I didn’t try to). While at this place, I became obsessed, obsessed with money and numbers. This place fostered a hustle culture that encouraged you to work 12 hours every day, including weekends (talk about balance); I bought into it, and the entire year that I spent working there I barely set apart time for myself, friends and family.

In this environment, I adopted the point of view of ‘it’s never enough’, and it bled into other areas of my life. I already had a pretty bad relationship with my body image, and this type of…
