The Uncertainty of a Future is Perhaps the Biggest Challenge in Dating

After doing some research on the topic of dating, this is what I’ve been able to conclude. Sounds simple, but it’s not.

Dating nowadays is so complicated, especially if you’re constantly surfing social media and seeing all these highlight reels about power couples and young beautiful people seemingly living a fairy tale. It’s so misleading and it creates a false narrative of what a real relationship is like.

I don’t have much experience in the dating world, but I do have eyes and ears that have seen and heard from plenty of people that have both succeeded and failed at romantic relationships. In addition, after observing my behavior when it comes to the opposite sex, I have come to the conclusion that what holds many of us back, both men and women, from being bold about approaching a person we may be interested in is the uncertainty of a future.

I do want to preface this by acknowledging that there’s also a big miscommunication/misinformation gap about how to approach a person you’re interested in, but I want to focus this on what I believe to be the biggest issue we’re dealing with on an individual level.
