Stop Attaching Your Self-Worth to a Title or a Track Record of Career Wins

A few years, even months ago, I would not believe where I am today. For a very long time I let myself be a victim of my circumstances, not really paying attention to my actions and thinking that the reason why I didn’t reach some of my goals was because I was not good enough. That’s been one of the biggest lessons I have learned these past few years, we are always, no matter what our circumstances good enough for anything. The real question is — are we doing what we need to do in order to get where we want to go? I’m still trying to answer this question.

Before I started my self development journey I was attaching the mistakes that I made or the wins that I accomplished to my self-worth. Now I know how dangerous that is for my self-esteem and self-belief. In those days my standards were about perfection. About always looking good, looking like I had it all together, not making any mistakes. But now I know that in those days I was rarely progressing forward.
