Infatuation Is a Dangerous Thing, We Know That, So Why Do We Keep Entertaining It?

Let’s get real about temptation. Meeting a person and right away feeling attracted to him/her/them but soon you find out they are off the market. How do you let go of that feeling that keeps you hooked?

Recently, I faced this debacle and who am I kidding. I’m still dealing with it and that’s why I’m writing about it. I’d like to get my thoughts organized about this situation but also document my ideas and thought-pattern on how to deal with it. Better yet would be to get someone else’s perspective on a similar situation: you find yourself infatuated with a person that is off limits; they have a girlfriend, wife, partner of any kind. How do you let go of the infatuation? That pull that draws you towards the person but your conscious mind knows you should not entertain it.

I’m sure I’m not the only person that struggles with this. It would be awesome to hear about others who have successfully maintained boundaries because let’s be honest, some of us have blown right past them without giving them a thought.
