Fight to Heal, No Matter How Hard it May Feel
You owe it to yourself to be the best version of you, and walk this earth as the person God intended you to be.
There’s a lot of talk on social media these days about trauma, healing, counseling, taking your power back, etc. I’m thrilled because this is helping normalize seeking counseling, therapy, and mental health resources.
We’re just beginning to tap into the psychology of how our perceived experiences (sometimes trauma) shape our reality, therefore, how we see our lives.
Being able to identify those moments that made us feel less than, unloved, unaccepted, and unworthy, gives us the power to heal from the pain we carried from those events. Allowing room for what we need — love, compassion, understanding, acceptance, etc.
This journey is not all flowers and rainbows, however. I can tell you from personal experience that counseling has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
It’s shown me the areas where I needed my own love and acceptance. It’s taught me that I will get out of life what I believe I deserve. If I think I deserve a little, that’s what I will get. But if I open my heart and mind to abundance, take risks, and believe that God is perfect and he has the best plan for…
